Conversation with Jessie this morning, after my shift at the front desk:

Venus: Hey, what's up? Our boy David gets the start tonight!
Jessie: It's a sad day for Yankees fans.
Venus: Why? I know that announcer guy died, but that was a couple of days ago. They're sending five [to the All-Star Game], why would they be sad?
Jessie: George Steinbrenner /died/.
Venus: *looks like icon and is suddenly glad she didn't say anything about the Met representative*

So I actually had to go sit down because I couldn't comprehend that (a lot of people feel that way, he'd owned the Yankees since our parents were our ages! Who's going to lead them now?); it had just happened when we were talking about it. Yankees fans, I know we don't always get along, but you've got my sympathies this week. *hugs* ♥

(WTF mood theme, that is not an appropriate face for "shocked"! *changes*)

Those two pinks are not the same. You lied to me, dye box. You fucking lied. YOU WHORE. (It's really baby-fucking-pink. I could have gotten it more pink if I washed the fabric along with a new red towel.)

So, guys, help. Do I give up and work with what I have (and rip it out later in the hopes of finding better fabric), or can I get some super-dye somehow and turn this sumbitch fucking PINK like it should be (maybe the dye needs to be more concentrated? Twice the dye, half the water (i.e., four times as strong)? I'd rather that if I could, especially because the blue of my dress is pretty bold. Tomorrow's Wednesday. D: Thanks.
