Well, this sucks.
Sep. 30th, 2010 11:03 amI was all excited and set to head to the game tonight and not only did I leave the house without a single Mets item on me (I know, right? It's possible), but it's raining. Well, it's kinda raining. The ground is wet, but I haven't seen a single drop of water. I'm hoping it holds, so I can enjoy the last bit of baseball at Citi (look! I said it on the first go this time!) this year. On the other hand, I'll be incredibly embarrassed to show up without even a hat. I wonder if Andrew has one I can borrow.
The worst of it is that the Mets are ending at home, and start their last series against Washington tomorrow. Because this game doesn't matter for either team (i.e., neither of them are in the playoffs, not even potentially), if it gets rained out, they might just cancel it altogether. Boo. Also, that the regular season is in October to begin with is stupid. One day, the World Series is gonna get snowed out. WTF, summer sport?
I have a stack of papers I should deal with instead of playing on the internet, eh? I can always play when no one's looking....
