The rotation and revolution of the earth -- the apparent movement of celestial objects -- is what gave mankind a concept of time in the first place; we just created timepieces to keep better track of it and gain some semblance of control. Basically, what this question is asking is, "What would you do without the sun?" and the answer is, simply,

I see what you're trying to do, but it's still utterly retarded to make people stand, remove their hats, and sing God Bless America during the Seventh Inning Stretch. As I had no problem telling the entire city of Philadelphia that it is not our national anthem, and therefore does not deserve the same level of respect, I will continue to keep my ass in my chair, my hat on my head, and wait for Take Me Out to the Ballgame (it's the Phillies making you do it, isn't it?), which is a song I do respect and will stand for. I still love baseball, don't get me wrong, but in all honesty, this is bullshit and you need to cut it the fuck out already.
