As for the day itself, well, I've got a(n unwanted) fourth for Anime North. It's not someone I'm particularly fond of, and it was done without consensus, so I'm not sure how long that arrangement's gonna last. :/ I bonded a hell of a lot with Izzy; she's cool people, and she can draw! After Samantha showed up, we somehow got the idea to do a Hetalia/Powerpuff Girls crossover? It was amazing; Izzy started doodling it; Poland is Him. XD Yeah, it was just a bunch of eating and hanging out and nonsense. :D

So.... I'mma take that shower now.

Just... wow. I'm kinda shocked.

Someone formerly on my flist made an angry, passionate post about something. What it is isn't important, but I expressed a dissenting opinion (and not even about the entire thing!). Perhaps my words weren't the most eloquent or well-constructed -- as they tend not to be when I'm really passionate about something; I get all womanly and my emotion takes over my rationality and I hate that -- but I thought I argued my case well, and I didn't swear, of course, nor did I attack the opinion presented, I just said "I respectfully disagree." and proceeded to explain.

I got a response, equally respectful, but in line with the original opinion. Fair enough and more than cool, I love friendly discussion. But then I noticed that, on the post, there were a couple more comments made, so I thought I'd go check those out and see what other people were saying.

My comment was deleted.

In response to the person who responded to me, OP commented, and part of it included: "in my rage I deleted the original comment so I wouldn't have to see it anymore" so I composed a non-committal response to look like it was from fair-and-unbiased passerby:

"I know that this is your journal and you can do what you want with it, but deleting someone's post just because you disagree with the opinion is pretty lame. If you didn't want to read dissenting opinions, maybe you should have disabled comments. :/"

I couldn't post it. OP removed me from his/her friend list because I have a different opinion and it made him/her angry. I can't even message OP to talk about it privately. No, I don't like what you said, so I don't wanna hear anything else LALALALALALA *fingers in ears*

*shakes head* Truly, truly impressed. I thought we left that shit behind in high school. :/ Whatevs, he/she's gone off of my list now, so I don't have to deal with it anymore.

I know this is LJ and not REAL LIFE, but even if you have a different opinion from something I say here, I won't give you that kind of hell for it. We'll discuss and debate and possibly get angry at one another, but I'm never going to cut you off with no other words, that's just silly. Even if you disagree with how I handled this, fine! We're all different people, and we're all entitled to our own fucking opinions, even if they don't sit right with everyone else.
