I agreed to go to a car place with Esmeralda today to figure out what to do about her car. She woke up early and went to the bank and the DMV, but didn't know how long it would take and figured she'd be done around 2:30. She was way off. I woke up at eleven, and she was already back at Jamaica. XD So I got showered and dressed, slowly and freezingly, because there was no hot water. AUGH.
Anyway, I checked mta.info for the buses, and hurray, they were running! The car place was near the E train, but before Union, so I figured I'd take the 110 straight to the E instead of going about it the long way. I waited for the 110 for 45 minutes. In that time, five buses passed in the opposite direction and I could have walked to the E train (not that I was going to, with the snow and slush and asthma, but I could have). Poor Esmeralda was waiting at the train station for nearly two hours. D:
I took some pictures of the snow's aftermath, but none of them were very interesting after I looked at them. I was rather annoyed by the foot-deep walls of snow against the sidewalks as I made my way to the bus stop, and the puddle I had to stand in when I got there. 9_9
But we walked over to the car place from the train station and, long story short, got her a 2003 Volvo. Hurray! She'll have it on Monday (we'll both test-drive it), since she's working tomorrow (to make up for yesterday) and obviously won't be able to make it back to Queens.
After dealing with the car, we headed into the city. We were supposed to go to Baruch to pick up my check, but it was five o'clock before we got to 42nd St., so it never happened (I can wait until Tuesday, I suppose. It's not like I'm going anywhere). We did manage to get thread and trim, so now I can work on the costumes this weekend. We also tried going down to Halloween Adventure for stuff, but came up short. Es got sock at The Sock Man, though! ... And I have to go back there because OMG. *_*
When I got home, I took the most glorious and relaxing shower I've had in ages. I pretty much melted under that water, mmmmm. Doesn't sound like a long day, but it was. The most exhausting part was manoeuvering through all that snow.
I HOPE I HAVE MORE CRAZY DREAMS TONIGHT! 8D
