Small things.
Jan. 31st, 2011 01:00 am•It was my sister's birthday Sunday. OH WELL. :V
•That means it's
conjure_lass's birthday today so HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Go make snow angels. :D
•I have no idea how the NHL All-Star Game works, since this game not only ignored conferences while putting teammates against one another, but was literally brother-against-brother (twins, no less!). Daniel Sedin was on Team Staal, along with Ryan Kesler, Marc Staal, and Henrik Lundqvist, so that pretty much decided which team I would cheer for. And while Team Staal scored four unanswered goals in the first three and a half minutes of the game (my brain broke), they wound up losing 11-10 (that is almost an American football score, WHAT). It was a great see-saw game, and goals were scored within seconds of each other quite often. And I don't know what the ASG counts for (if anything), so I'm not too upset that Team Staal lost.
•Not much sewing happened because I've never put a zipper in using a machine before (nor have I ever shortened a zipper). I wound up having to do it a couple of times over and because it's a long seam and I'm scared SHITLESS to tear fabric, it took forever. XD I got it, though, and it looks great! :Db The shortening turned out to be a cinch. However, I bent my needle sewing something mundane. And it was SCARY, not because the needle broke, but because it caused a pin to get jammed in my machine. When I finally wrenched it out, it could have been mistaken for a fishhook. :O I hope none of the mechanisms inside were damaged.
•It's also really dark in here because I have only a 60-watt bulb, and I (personally) need at least 75 to see well, 100 to see really well. It's almost impossible for me to sew like this! ;A; I'll probably be at it for another hour before I go to bed. Need to head to the car place tomorrow.
•I AM STILL NOT OVER THE METS GETTING THE ALL-STAR GAME. :D (that post needs more .gifs. ;a;)
