My brother moved to Philadelphia.
Feb. 27th, 2011 11:55 pmI didn't mention much about it because it doesn't affect my life, but my brother's job took him to Philly, and that's where he's going to be now. He says he'll be back to visit in late April or early May. The move is happening in pieces, because some of his stuff (including his girlfriend and their cat) is still here. Is it weird? Not really. I don't see my family so much, y'know, holing myself up in my bedroom all the time, and on the few late-night instances I'd run into Matt, it'd be in the kitchen when we were both looking for a late snack and more concerned with eating than each other.
Speaking of which.... *chinstroke*
But, no, I won't miss him on a daily basis. Over time it'll sink in that he's not around, but I'll probably be so used to the idea by then that I won't mind. It seems cold and detached and probably weird to some people, but it's not. Really. And I do love my brother (though, admittedly, I don't love him as much as I probably should). I like that he wore his Reyes jersey, though, that troll. ♪
That's pretty much all that happened this weekend. Despite not having a con to work towards, Es was here again, to get away from the crazy stress her family sometimes supplies. It's not my place to say anything in that direction, but... yeah. We had a SNICK night last night because we could, and watched Robin Hood today (mostly, she just set up events on Facebook). I still need to show her Full Metal Jacketbut I couldn't seem to snatch it from the internet for freesies, so there went that.
Next weekend, I'll be at Laura's, practicing. SakuMatsu is in two months and I know... two? of the eight dances I'm supposed to do? And we'll probably take a look at the new Berryz song out, too. That'll be fun and productive if only because it'll be the first ichiP! practice in three months. No, seriously, the last time we were all together for a practice was the middle of November.
So, it appears that none of my teams can win (of course not, that'd make it too easy for me), because the Rangers lost 2-1 to Tampa today. They're going to fall out of the top eight at this rate, and there are only six weeks left. :/ I don't want another stressful CPAC this year, guys!
And now back to my long-neglected reading. And that late-night snack I hinted at earlier!
