I feel so grown up!
Jul. 19th, 2011 08:30 pmDon't laugh. XD
I've been trying to fight it as long as possible, but I got a credit card today. It'll only be used for cosplay and convention things: buying fabric, registration, bus tickets, hotel reservations; just the same as my bank account, but without having to withdraw money, or mail out money orders. And since the bank is close to work, I can just pop in the next day and pay it off almost immediately. I figure if I've been without it a credit card for almost thirty years -- and when I borrowed one, I forked over the money straight away, which is kinda like paying outright -- I'm in the habit of paying for things immediately. ... Don't laugh! XD
In other news, I went and bought a whole bunch of plastic containers to organize my cosplay stuff (don't worry, I paid for them in cash, haha). I got sick and tired of digging through the entire BIN O' COSPLAY for a missing sock or some tiny accessory that I'm putting things into boxes and wow, I have way more belts, socks, and gloves than I thought I did. ... And I have to go get more boxes tomorrow because these weren't enough (or large enough) to hold everything (within reason. I didn't expect my thousand shirts to fit in a tiny box).
And work. I'm ready to kill F something fierce. A rubber band exploded on me today and the ends whipped me in the face (it was a big rubber band). I wound up with a nice mark straight up and down the left side of my face, and that wasn't the only thing, so, long story short, everything goes back to her. I was fuming (and in tears because MAN did that smart!). I'm close to breaking again; it's about that time, and I really don't appreciate the utter disrespect she's been treating me with. Will I ever man up and stop bitching about it? We'll see, but I hope I don't go into a three-hour rant (though it'd be nice to make her cry).
I've got a mosquito bite on my arm. It's swollen around three pores that kinda look like a face. Cutest mosquito bite ever! ♥~
I do believe I will take a shower later because it's amazingly sticky, but for now, BACK TO WORK.
