Just a Monday.
Jul. 26th, 2011 02:29 amMostly packed for Otakon! Only two things left to sew and pack, and they should be quick. Incentive, incentive, I have incentive! After that, it's just small things I can't pack until Thursday evening or Friday morning. I'm so proud of myself!
I also managed to tidy up a bit more. The cosplay chest is organized once more (what I wouldn't give for some dividers!), and all the weapons and stuff are going up in the attic, along with the bins, eventually. Man, it is SCARY up there. I went looking for my business cards and suffice it to say that the mission was unsuccessful. Matthew still has his shit everywhere. :/
The weather is finally nice and cool. It's been raining on and off since yesterday -- and cloudy all day today, even now -- and the humidity's down with the temperature. It's only 69 (20) degrees out! It was 104 (40) just 36 hours ago, WHAT. Everyone's got power, everyone's much less cranky. It's not going to last. I hear the rest of the week will be sunny and high-80s (low-30s) and this weekend will get back up around 95 (35), and it's supposed to hit 100 (38) again in Baltimore. FUN.
So, forgive me if you've seen this before, but people who fly often: what can I do to get a deal on a cross-continental flight (the trip is in mid-October... man, I hope I get World Series coverage)? I've gotten advice to check Bing to see whether I should buy now or wait (I should wait for now, apparently), but how long should I wait? I found a pretty good itinerary via kayak.com (I spent about two hours shopping), but what other sites do you guys use to get flights?
