Two dreams.
Aug. 13th, 2011 06:38 amI forgot to mention the dream I had last night, so I'll relate that along with a new one!
In the first dream, I had a little fun with some Homestuck cosplayers. I don't know a thing about Homestuck; I tried reading it and couldn't get past the shitty beginning. All I know is that the trolls come into the mix somewhere.
Anyway, so I dreamt that I was talking to several trolls and this dude in a tophat who was also, apprently, in Homestuck cosplay. Casual conversation, until I said a certain trigger word. At that word, the dude in the tophat interrupted with "TEAPOT?!" -- the trigger wasn't "teapot" -- and then he and all the trolls immediately fell to the ground and started twitching like they were having seizures. When they stopped and got up again, one of them asked me if I knew happened -- I guess they knew I'm not in the fandom -- so I repeated the word and they did it all again. IT WAS AWESOME.
Yesterday, I reminded myself of just how rusty my French is: I found an online quiz of a list of 100 verbs in English, and I was to translate them into French within a certain time. I got 41, when I should have gotten something like sixty to seventy (because I don't recall learning some of those words). I forgot stupid shit like to drink (boire), to wash (laver), to come (venir)! I updated a status to say "I would like someone with whom I can practice!" (because I remember those words), and went about my day. ... I don't have many friends who speak French. Anyway, my dream involved me being somewhere in Quebec (probably didn't hurt that I looked at this and this (oh god so cute) yesterday) and beautiful, flawless France-French (because I don't know Canadian French) flowed easily from my lips. I was in a restaurant, I was ordering food. The waitress heard us all speaking English and was speaking to us in English, but then she couldn't think of how to say something and I helped her out, so we started going on about something entirely irrelevant. AND THEN I FUCKING WOKE UP. /wrists I need to re-learn French. I need to, I've been saying that for a while.
Back to sleep~
