Thanks! ♥

So far, so good, it's just rain and occasional strong gusts (though I had to shut my window because it's so noisy). The center of the storm (which is only barely, technically a hurricane still) is just south of Atlantic City (so about 85 miles away). Will post again when I wake up. Good night!

Yes, I know it's five in the morning. No, I don't know why or how I'm still awake.

Hey guys! I'm still alive and totally unharmed, but thanks for your concern.

I just woke up and while it's still a bit windy (and not even terribly windy, just like, really-windy-March-day-windy), nothing seems to be wrong. It's not raining, and even kinda bright out (for a cloudy day)! Internet and power work, obviously, water works. No big deal.

Sadly, there were casualties (not human ones): one of my neighbors lost a tree. Have some pictures of the view from my bedroom, and you'll see that it's really not much more than some leaves and twigs blown around: it's all panorama-like. )

Quoth Alex: "I guess it's a good thing we suck at natural disasters. Crap hurricane, crap earthquake." And according to HuffPo, it wasn't even a hurricane by the time it got here, so I was right. :D /smarmy

Yeah! In your face, Mother Nature! 8D I hate this song but ♫let's hear it for New Yooooork♫

Edit: Hmmm, I guess there was a little rain:

I wish they were more careful, though. Slip-'n'-Slide with hockey sticks is dangerous! D:>
