Sep. 30th, 2011 11:41 amAdding "better knitting" to my cosplay résumé is good. I'm working on yet another scarf, but not only am I finally doing it in stockinette stitch (lsdkfjlsdjf can't i just knit everything please?!), I'm working stripes. Big deal, Venus, you've done stripes in like every scarf you've ever made. NONONO this time I'm doing vertical stripes. Entirely different animal.
I would share pictures, but I can't seem to find my camera at the moment.... But it looks really good so far, I promise! It's about 9 inches (23 cm) wide, 2 inches (5 cm) long so far, and three stripes of indigo, off-white, indigo. It takes a lot of concentration, though, to make sure I'm doing the correct stitches on the correct row, and then to make sure I change colors properly every handful of stitches. I'm working with huge needles and bulky yarn, so it's not like I can autopilot for a minute. That's the only part that sucks. It's kind of a good thing I feel like shit, then, and can't get out of bed to do much else.
