THAT was a fun party.
Oct. 31st, 2011 02:36 amSo it snowed on Saturday. What the fuck? It wasn't much, and didn't stick on the pavement, but... snow. A half-inch crust of ice and snow was on everyone's lawn. Here. In October. WORLD SERIES OVER. IS WINTER NOW. Apparently.
Leigh's party was awesome. There was a giant bagel tuna sandwich, karaoke, lots and lots of alcohol, and MIKE MONTANA STORY TIME. About half the people there were more than tipsy. Es and I wound up staying the night (she wasn't well enough to drive in more than one sense), and she, Kaitlin, Leigh, and I had a girl-talk session in which we went on and on about ~*boys*~ for two hours. Leigh is officially the most awesome hostess I know.
But Jesus fuck, I wish there were someone I could at least use for eye candy. This downtime is really shitty (but apparently I have the most patience ever?i'm just used to being lonely because actually being in a relationship is considered a fluke).
Oh, and our costumes! Once we finished tripping all over the sewing mess in my room -- there's no room in here, augh -- we looked pretty cute.
We got home this morning at eight-something, and Es headed right back out to hang out with her Homestuck people, whereas I headed right back to sleep. I slept another bajillion hours today, and watched the very very very tail end of the Giants game when I woke up. Seriously, it was an interception with less than two minutes to play and they just downed the ball three times. XD The Eagles were beating the shit out of the Cowboys last I saw, just before halftime. LOOK CAZ I AM TALKING ABOUT FOOTBALL but only because my hockey teams weren't playing today (and they both played on Saturday. Canucks scored three in the third to beat Washington 7-4, but the Rangers blew a three-goal third-period lead and lost in the shootout. What the fuck, guys. Ooooh, but I heard they're bringing Avery back! After he clears waivers on Tuesday, he'll be good for Thursday's game, which means he'll be good for Sunday's game (and Es and I will be adorable with our 16 and 17 apparel)! Shame he couldn't come back sooner, because he would have made that game in Vancouver a lot more fun.
(Oh, and the tickets I ordered for the game I'm taking Dad to: I ordered them Thursday morning. They showed up Friday morning. \o/ Just waiting on Sunday's, but I'm supposed to get them by Wednesday.... Rangers (3-3-3) play Monday, Canucks (5-5-1) play Tuesday. And while it's way too early to be talking about standings, I find it highly amusing that Boston's dead last in the East, and Edmonton's on top of the West).
That's... about it. I really need a new inhaler. I've been sucking on mine all weekend -- I feel terribly congested and I've been coughing and augh, I'm thinking about just getting cough syrup but that might make it worse -- and I'm almost out. I've got that pole-through-the-chest feeling again. I'd really like not dying this winter, so if someone can help me out....
