Feb. 28th, 2012 01:30 amMy family's gone. They left sometime yesterday afternoon. I'm not exactly sure when because with all the damn noise they made, I couldn't get any sleep. When I thought they'd gone, I'd managed an extra hour of sleep, but not much because I kept having nightmares about them. Es said I was crying and screaming in my sleep.
No one understands just how uncomfortable they make me.
Once I woke up with a start, sat straight up, and said "I heard them." Sure enough.... I wound up falling back out of it several hours later from pure exhaustion -- didn't go skating; Es's skates didn't fit -- sometime during the Canucks game and woke up shortly after it ended (they lost in overtime). They were gone by then, but I stayed in my bedroom for a couple of extra hours just to make sure. *shudders*
ANYWAY. Not much else to say. I'm back on my Berryz binge, after watching Strawberry Shortcake this morning and assigning Berryz to each of the characters (get it? StrawBERRY Shortcake, BERRYZ Kou-- okay, I'll show myself out). Look, it's not my fault that Plum looks exactly like Risako with that ponytail, okay! I'm looking back at Madayade, and ahead to Be Genki, of course.
Canucks lost Cody Hodgson to Buffalo, so it's not like I'll never see him again, but maaaaan, I just saw him play on Friday! They got Zack Kassian back in the deal, at least. The Rangers picked up a defenseman from Chicago for a fifth-round pick; the big Rick Nash deal didn't go down. The price was just too ridiculous: several top players and prospects and a first-round pick. The Rangers backed out yesterday, and Nash is unhappy in Columbus.
Works for me, though, since good ol' #17 had his head on the block but gets to stay a little longer (let this year be a slump, Brandon, and show 'em what you can do -- what we all know you can do -- next season). But, yeah, giving up Ryan McDonagh or MDZ? LOL NO. In further celebration, the Rangers beat the Devils 2-0 tonight (Lundqvist's eighth shutout of the season and forty-third of his career; he was the third star. Hagelin (first star) with the GW and Callahan (second star) with the insurance), bringing the season series back to tied at two. Furthermore, they're second in the league, behind Vancouver by just one point. The Canucks are in Phoenix tomorrow.
Ooooh, before I forget. The .gif I made of Theresa's reaction to the second goal on Friday:

I wanna do a meme. I haven't done one in forever. Anyone got one?
