Rangers win!
May. 8th, 2012 01:10 amRangers won tonight, 3-2/OT! Stralman opened the scoring about halfway through the first, but the Caps scored in both the second and third. I was pretty bummed out, and watching listening to the third period with a very stony face. But then this happened:
Joel Ward carelessly high-sticked Hags, and he was bleeding, so that's a double minor. With just over twenty seconds left in the game, the Rangers were on the power play (with Lundqvist pulled), and Brad Richards somehow -- I still don't know how that puck went past Holtby! -- came through with the equalizer. And since it was a double minor, the Rangers were still on the power play when overtime started. Unlike Game Three, this one didn't take very long to decide:
That makes two power play goals in this game alone! I don't wanna jinx it, but that's pretty nice to see. So the series is 3-2 NYR and headed back to Washington. Phoenix just wrapped up their series; Devils could clinch their spot tomorrow in Philly.
Meanwhile, I guess I got a bit of costume work done this weekend! I bought some little things, but I managed to finish -- or I will as soon as these post-games are over -- putting all those stupid diamonds on the edge of the skirt. I hope I can figure out what I want from the middle of the dress and the neckline, but I've got to do sleeves and Esmeralda's costume to stitch to buy myself some time.
I've been sleeping a lot because I'm pretty sure the pancakes and hashbrowns I had at IHOP yesterday (and leftovers today) were drugged. XD I fell right asleep after eating twice!
Hmm, what else. More weird dreams last night. Don't remember most of them, but I know I had at least five or six. The one I do remember was something with, like, the Goron Princess in a more humanoid form, and she was wearing lots of purple... yeah, IDK. I should go to bed soon so I get an early start on the day; I've been waking up around seven the past couple.
