So I thought making hand-bound eyelets would be a good idea and I was wrong. Being, though, that I can't find appropriately colored metal ones and that I want this fucking dress to remain as light and airy as possible, embroidery floss still seems the best route.

My awl is about a millimeter or two too small, though. A millimeter! It's the tiniest amount, but it would make such a HUGE difference if it were just a little wider (that's what she said). Part of what's taking so long is that everything is so close and bunched up and I can't quite see what I'm doing, then I have to poke everything open with the awl again -- which is now too large for the hole it created itself! -- and auuuuugh. Out of twenty-two eyelets, I've got nine done. I don't know how many more I'll do before my patience runs out, but I sure as shit am not staying up until five in the morning again if I can help it! I'll do the rest tomorrow, and the giant skirt hem seems like a break compared to this nonsense!

It's starting to look pretty good, though. Here are some pictures I took this afternoon:

It looks like for-real, legit laces~ *A*

Details~ It's hilarious because the eyelets are so tiny they're coming out pursed and so look like tiny assholes. XD

In retrospect: this idea was stupid and I'm paying for it.

Tomorrow, after the skirt hem and the eyelets, I get to start putting my Berryz Koubou cosplay together, too! Eeeeee!! Hopefully I'll have some nice pictures of that, since it looks to be a very straightforward sort of thing. Thank goodness.
