Wreck-It Ralph (spoiler free)
Nov. 4th, 2012 10:50 pmI went to the movies for the first time in forever today! Also, Uno Chicago Grill (I'm such a bad New Yorker: I love Chicago-style hot dogs and pizza way more than I do the local sort. *hides*).
Oooo, and the subways and buses were running really well, especially for a Sunday. Very impressed, MTA! It was actually a nicer ride than it usually is (or maybe I'm saying that because I didn't have to transfer).
So Wreck-It Ralph was great and you should all go see it at your earliest convenience. There were lots of easter eggs and cameos and quite a bit of feels. Animation was great, story had depth, music was perfect. Took a while to get used to some of the characters, and it was a bit predictable at times, but overall, it was fantastic. Also Paperman. ♥ I want to cosplay a character (of course I do), but I know she'll be everywhere next convention season. Can't seem to find any good reference photos of the details on her left side, though....
Previews for Les Mis and The Hobbit look so good! Can they be in theatres already, please?
And speaking briefly of cons, looks like Katsu's full-up. If I get everything I want done, that'll be four NEW cosplays. Katsu's... in three months. Whoops.
There's still a lot of cleaning up going on over here. It's almost eleven, but I heard sanitation trucks roll past not too long ago. There are still lots of downed trees (the ones that blocked street have been cleared, but the ones that fell sideways onto sidewalks haven't), and I saw a half-mile-long line of cars waiting for gas as I was walking to the bus stop.
...mmm, I think I'll get a bit more to eat, play some PKMN, and get to bed early.
