I've been guilted into posting.
Nov. 20th, 2012 09:37 pmOkay, but nothing tremendous has happened!
Friday, I went for a skate for about an hour (my knee wasn't hurting, so that's good), and met up with Es who had a short day after work. We got dinner at Kino, farted around a bit, and eventually went home. Woo, big deal. I did find out about an exhibition hockey game called Operation Hat Trick in Atlantic City that's happening this weekend (I'm surprised it's AC, considering how hard they got hit by the hurricane). Mostly some Rangers and Flyers, but they'll be playing, and I'm pretty desperate for some hockey so I will take it! Tickets were only $20 and the proceeds go to Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, so, hey, good deal as far as I can tell. Team New York has eight Rangers listed, while Team Philly has five Flyers and three Devils (though both rosters are incomplete), so it'll be a lot names I'm used to hating not on my team. Should be fun. :D

i wanna get some glass markers and paint es' car for the trip down but i'm afraid of it getting vandalized in the parking lot
Saturday was entirely uneventful.
Sunday, I went to Times Square with Laura to take pictures of us doing JoJo's poses. Laura really like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and the characters do all sorts of crazy poses in the manga. Laura's even run a panel at a couple of cons called JoJo's Posing School, where she teaches everyone how to do some of the poses. It's surprisingly popular! Anyway, so we did this for a contest, and spent a couple of hours doing that, fighting cold fingers, slow cameras, and surprisingly not a lot of people! (I would share pictures but I don't know if I'm allowed to post them?)
After we were done with pictures, we met Michele and Guillermo down in the East Village for his birthday dinner. Guillermo started growing a beard and it looks great on him! :D We discussed creating a 1997-era website for some reason, with all the coolest .gifs. While walking to the train, we passed the MLB Fan Cave, and R. A. Dickey just so happened to be on one of the TVs they have in the window. I'd been fangirling earlier, but I'd just remembered that he's a huge Star Wars fan, so I told Laura, and she quickly proclaimed him her favorite baseball player. XD
Yesterday was also pretty uneventful. I got my hair re-straightened? NOW IT FOLLOWS THE LAWS OF GRAVITY! :D
I've been on a sudoku kick for the past day and a half, solving ALL THE PUZZLES. I'm finally starting to comes out of it, though. Maybe I'll give Pokémon another chance (seriously, one second I was fine, the next all the wild PKMN are like five and six levels higher than me and I'm like whaaaaaaaa?!)
I feel like there was something else to say, but I don't know what it is so never mind~
