Weird dreams I just had!
Apr. 28th, 2013 11:53 amThe first is a bit blurry, but involved being in Canada and either Thailand or Singapore with some of my cousins.
The second, Ian and Carn came to pick me up to go to their wedding. I was in the car, all ready to go, when I remembered I didn't have my passport, and had to run back up to my bedroom to get it. I was looking through it, and saw the stamp for Thailapore inside (whoa, in-dream continuity! It was really cool, all purple with lots of swirly designs), and I was like, "ah, I forgot I've been to more than two countries."
Hi, I'm super-jealous that my brother went to DR for his honeymoon, and now he's been to more countries than I have (three to two, though I think I've left the country more often (hi Canada, what's up). We're not very well-travelled people, unfortunately. Es wants to take me to Ukraine sometime next year but with the job hunt going the way it is, it's looking less and less possible every day. Shame, I'd love to go).
Carn laughed and said, "Well, now you'll go to two more!" though I don't know where else we were planning on going.... But, yeah, then it was a long game of "OH MY GOSH I FORGOT (other important thing!)" and it was a bunch of running back and forth to get all of it, which would never happen in real life because I have my Ultimate Packing List and I've never forgotten anything
Third, I think I eventually got in the car and we drove away and some other stuff happened and then I was in a building, trying to get somewhere but the elevators were being wonky. When I finally got one, it was HUUUUUUGE and there was a sort of game show happening inside? There was a hostess and a camera crew, a small child, and two other adults, and all around the inside of the elevator, attached to the wall, was a yellow, soft plastic, stretchy flexible gating. It was me and one of the other people in the elevator (a Hasidic Jewish woman), and we had to keep the kid from escaping but we were stuck behind the gate and the girl could roam free (I'm really bad at explaining this). The third guy just sort of stood there.
The other woman was REALLY BAD at it, like, chasing the kid around -- like really bad parenting and almost let her escape! -- but I got the brilliant idea to trap the kid in a corner (where the gates were attached to the walls), with my body on the other side of her so she couldn't move or escape. And I had to do it until a three-minute timer ran out, so I just sat/knelt down and started talking to the kid so she would forget that she was, essentially, tied up. It worked, and I won a huge seafood platter (or something? I know there was shrimp on it?) for my dad and brother (ew. It was a father/son thing and I am neither a father nor a son), and I woke up shortly after that.
My back hurts and my throat is SUUUUUUUUUPER dry. *shrug*?
Edit: I might have also dreamt that I was cosplaying Mabel Pines and also Marceline the Vampire Queen. LOL OKAY
