So, yeah, I would forget to post towards the end of the month when I'd been doing so well, wouldn't I? Well, to be honest, I'd missed the 9th, 12th, and 16th, too, but only by minutes so I backdated the posts just a wee bit. On the 16th, I actually remembered in time, I just couldn't post in time. But yesterday? Straight-up forgot. It was a long day. (So yes, I've technically cheated, but now that I outright missed it, it doesn't matter anymore.)
I went to bed early on account of Thursday being so horrible that it drained me; I only got three hours of sleep, though, and was up from the middle of the night on. While I was awake, I figured I should end ALBW, just get it over with. It was very cute, though I've still got some unanswered questions! I'm going on in a copy of the file and picking up all the Heart Pieces and items I missed, this time with a guide because screw wandering aimlessly.
Around 5 AM, I started to get tired again, but my alarm was set for 6 AM, so I just powered through it. Jumped in the shower, made myself breakfast, gathered my things, and went skating, making it to the park just after it opened. Skating at 8 AM was glorious. The ice was perfect, like butter, and there were maybe a dozen people out there so the one skate guard didn't really care so much about anything, just as long as no one was falling down. It was quiet and peaceful, and the sun was just starting to come up over the tops of buildings.... I should skate in the mornings more often!
I came home just before eleven and meant to nap -- because no sleep! -- before the Rangers game. I failed at that because friends wanted to talk. I wound up missing most of the first period, but when I checked up on the score, the Rangers were up 2-1. Hey! I'll take that. I made it through the second -- same score -- but when I fell out and woke up a few minutes into the third, the game was tied. I turned it off when the Bruins went ahead, and that was the final score. The Rangers weren't playing in the last 40 minutes the way I heard they were playing in the first 20. Fucking shameful. And that's the second time Boston's beat us: first in our house, then in theirs. Augh.
I cleaned house, and Esmeralda showed up not too long thereafter. We ate, goofed off, and went to sleep early for some reason (which was good. I needed to. And boy, did I ACTUALLY SLEEP this time! Like, for four hours, and then I was up for, what, two? three? and then I went back to sleep and woke up with my alarm at eleven! YAY!).
Gonna get ready to face the day soon; Olua will be here in about an hour and we're all gonna kvetch over the Rangers and watch them lose to the Canucks, lol. Then Es and I are heading out to Megan's birthday party, possibly cutting it close because she decided she was going to move up the time from 8 to 7 when she's all the way in goddamn Jersey City. XD
