469 Project, Day One!
Nov. 4th, 2015 11:17 pmI'll just link to the tumblr post.
IT WAS SO LONG. I couldn't believe it took me six hours to get down from one end to the other, because it seemed like no time was passing at all (a minute here, a minute there, then 360 of them have passed somehow). Being underground probably helped. I had fun. I FOUND A RESTROOM! The 2 train does not ever un-crowd. Not for a moment. Bodies galore. 3 trains are ghost towns, it's ridiculous.
I still have a lot of work to do, like planning for tomorrow (4 train, probably) and figuring out what the crap else to do when. This will probably get easier as it goes on because I'll have o do fewer stops on each route, but maybe not because I'll actually have to TRAVEL to those routes instead of walk 10 minutes or take a bus.
ALSO LOL MY CARD FINALLY STOPPED WORKING and now I actually have to pay to ride. Boo. I figure it's not worth a fancy card, though, because 20 rides is $55 worth, which is less than $50 worth of actual money paid. A monthly unlim is $116, so I'd have to double the rides and then some just to break even. I'll be using the subway a lot more than usual this month, but not enough to justify the unlim. Man, why didn't I think of this sooner?
