Got home from work (ARRRRRRGH), STARVING. Didn't go to get anything to eat at an outside place because I figured that maybe once this week, Mom would have "whipped something up". Keep in mind that I hate when she says that because it usually turns out to be some vile concoction of random things (literally?) thrown together in the grossest way possible. I mean, she'll give us like, raw potatoes and cheesecake. The hell? Wait, did I say cheesecake? I take that back. It would be too much work. But things that shouldn't go together, kinda like that.

I wish I had cheesecake. ;-; Even the raw potatoes (well, I'd boil them, you know! And potato skins are nummyful). I'm hungry..... I wonder if we HAVE potatoes. It sounds like a good idea!

Played with Frank for a little bit before Dad decided he wanted to "use" the new computer. And since it's right next to me, he'd be all old and muttering things that didn't make any sense and sound like he knew what he was talking about but OMFG he really didn't. I wanted to slap him. "Quiet, old man! It's 8:30! Well past your bedtime! Shoo!" So to escape him, I retreated to my room. I was tired from work, more so because I didn't have my coffee this morning, so I put on my jammies and climbed into bed, setting my alarm for an hour later.

I woke up suddenly and looked at my wall clock. Quarter to ten. I overslept, but only by fifteen minutes. Not bad. But I didn't hear anyone. Not Mom, Dad, or even Ingrid and JJ, or even MATTHEW. And he's always making a ruckus. So I flipped open my phone/alarm to see if I got any messages while I was sleeping and couldn't believe what I saw:

Eh?! (Afterthought: Ooooh! Santa came!!!) How did I miss the alarm? How did I, in my sleep, flip open the phone, manage to find the PROPER button to press (only one makes it stop, and it's tiny), close it, and put it back in the exact same spot?! Not to mention I've NEVER slept four hours when I've only meant to sleep one without waking up at least once. So that was weird. And now here I am telling all of you, and looking for my origami booklets at the same time, because I forgot how to fold the penguin I want to stick on Daddy's gift.

Work. So I was stuck taking tour photos. And it wasn't bad yesterday. It was warm, so when the door opened I didn't mind. Today, I FROZE. And I did the first six tours, 11:15 to 2:00. Sean was supposed to pick up the slack at 2:00. Not only was he always late going up, but he didn't go for the last two or three of them (once because he was out getting food). I can't stand his crap, and if this were a more permanent job, I'd complain (I'm probably going to anyway). We made a three-dollar bonus per show today and we were just shy of making four by about... forty bucks. I firmly believe that if Sean had gone and taken a couple of pictures when he was supposed to instead of being an asshole, that we would have sold THREE more 5x7s and made eight dollars instead of six. Tomorrow (today) I'm doing tour YET AGAIN, but this time I'm doing it with Mollie, and I know she won't leave me hanging. And we're gonna shoot for a $5 bonus today. ^_^

Mandy kept playing with the bells on my reindeer antlers. She was like a cat. There was also a little girl who came running past (her family took a sleigh photo) and she stayed inside, and she was playing with my bells... we took a picture of that and stuck it up in the closet. ^_^ It was really cute. And I got paid: six dollars more than I expected, even with the extra hour back from a couple of weeks ago. I'm not complaining. :::whistle:::

Nothing else was accomplished... but I know for damned sure I'm going to get my coffee later. I have a nine-to-ten hour day ahead of me, and I know it's going to be rough. But first, presents under the tree and more sleep. XD Not like I need it.

So. Work. Nine and a quarter-hours of work. Not bad. I ate a lot. Did the tours. It was relatively uneventful (basically, everything I've been saying all mushed up together). It only got interesting towards the end when I started talking with Mollie and Mandy. We started going on about certain tour guides and certain photography people. Somehow, our conversation broke up and Mollie and I went on about giving birth and placentas, and being all smart-ass about what to do with our placentas when we give birth. Some of the things we came up with were really outrageous (in the funny way), and we finally got up to Mr. Placenta Head (much like his potatoey counterpart... I never DID get those potatoes last night), and we were absolutely dying. There was a lot of dancing to make the time go by a little bit faster, but overall, it was fun. A long day, but fun. ^_^

And since all I've done today is work and travel, that's all I have to say. I'm gonna go eat some MORE, play games and head on out to bed. But shit. Damned if I didn't make $150 today. That's half of my last paycheck. Pretty sweet.
