First of all, I'm not feeling better by any stretch of the imagination. I will not be posting details here; information will be given on a strict need-to-know basis. You guys are my friends and I love you all to pieces, but this is just too personal to share with everyone. Please understand.

On to amusing.

The Jesus freaks were out in full force today for some odd reason. They were on my bus (the lady from last Hanukkah; I recognized her voice and accent. Lee would have had a fit), and both my trains. Spouting the usual nonsense, but I was trying to read, so I decided to amuse myself by snidely commenting under my breath. When the fires of hell were mentioned, I said something like "at least it's warm. Winter in New York can be very unforgiving." When sulfur was mentioned, I went on an aside of how much I like eggs, and when I was told over and over to "Repent! Repent!" because God will forgive my sins or whatever, I started getting really panicky and flustered.

"Okay, okay! :::flail::: I admit it! I voted for Bloomberg yesterday! I'm sorry, I take it back! Just... stop TORMENTING me!" and then I grabbed my head and wail and moan. It was quite funny -- at least, I thought so. No one I told until Olua agreed -- and some of the bus passengers snickered a bit.

(Mike Bloomberg, incumbent mayor and mayor-elect for New York City. Republican. Voted yes for Prop 2. I think he sucks. >.o Prop 2: they want more money for the MTA. Of course, they put up nice, enticing ads like "Vote yes for a seat on the train" with a picture of a jam-packed train and straphangers holding on for dear life. Of course, the ads forgot one very important adjective: three-dollar. Vote yes for a three-dollar seat on the train. Hell no, buddy. Fares are high enough as it is. This money would be used for stupid things like making pretty mosaics in Manhattan stations and the Second Avenue subway line, and that's all just dumb and unnecessary. Design some better busses! The hybrid ones are CRAP! The MTA has a surplus, but what are they doing with it? Pretending they don't have it by reducing fares on weekends between Thanksgiving and New Year's to a dollar and losing all their money that way. Anyway, Prop 2 got a big NOOOOOOOO from me, but I think it passed anyway. D:)

Between the subway and the mall, I nearly got hit by a car. Unlike Baltimore, I cursed the hell out of the driver. I felt better in the moment but that, teamed with events from last night and the fact that no one was seemingly in the store again sent me into a fit once I got in the mall. Karen Flores was saying she had a bad day yesterday, but I held the trump card, though I didn't bother explaining. I just said I needed to be kept busy, and she didn't put me to work. I had to find my own things to do. Sigh. I did what I could around the store, and honestly spent most of the day correcting Evie's job with the gum, as I predicted (though I did break while I was fixing the gum -- thank goodness no one was in the store -- and I came very close to doing it twice more). I spent time after my break consolidating two sections so we could make room for the new Sugarbunnies merch we got. I also decided that climbing up and down the shelves to get to and from the plushies on top of the bathroom is less scary, more fun and faster than using the ladder, so that's my preferred method of accessing them, now. Also, I'm smart enough to bring a bag with me, and I fetched the paper and pen I left up there last time. :3

Sandy called me not too long after I got home and we chatted for about twenty minutes. We decided that we're going to meet up tomorrow at two for half-price sushi and possibly a movie or something. She knows what happened because parties involved told her. She was really comforting, and I appreciate that. She's gonna give me a big hug tomorrow, and I'm looking very much forward to it. <3 :::flap:::

Shaina also knows. I called her last night around eleven-fifteen. So far, that's it.

Um..... there's not much else to say, and I'm really stuck ending this post on a note like that. I can laugh and pretend to be okay, but... don't mind me if I'm quieter than usual for a while. Like I said yesterday, I won't be myself. :/ (I can't end this entry properly, so I'm just gonna shut up now.)

Edit, 22:14. Lou knows too.
