I made dinner tonight!
Feb. 6th, 2006 11:43 pmCheesy chickeny ricey something... I can't take all the credit for it because my oven did most of the work, but YAY I made dinner and it came out well! Also, broccoli. Steamed and salted to perfection. :::dances::: Self-confidence +1!
So that was the highlight of my day. After the Superbowl at the Legion last night, my clothes REEKED of cigarette smoke, so I had to wash them. While that was going, I went to the store and picked out real food for omg the first time ever. I felt quite grown-up. Then I went to the library to see if Bleach #4 had been returned (I borrowed the first three, and read them in a minute). It hadn't been, but I found Fushigi Yuugi #6 -- "Do mine eyes deceive me?!" -- and 7-10 so I snatched those up quickly. The only other FY6 I'd found since I started reading last year was in Japanese in Book Off, so I'm pleased I found an English version. Came home, waited some and then started cooking.
Phill came by around 5:30 and ate his share and loved it. Of course, it was cold by then (he told me FIVE), but it still tasted good. Plus, we had seconds. We both fell victim to the Itis shortly thereafter. XD Woke up, went for dessert and soda to keep us awake, BSed while we were eating, then I played MM. Nothing special at all today.
Wish I made more chicken-stuff. I could go for some right now.
