So, it seems that I have a new job. It'd've been nice if, y'know, someone would have told me about it.
Last month, I applied for the supervisory position at John Shawn for the Geoffrey Photo Booth at TRU Times Square. You remember, I'm sure. Well, I said that I'd need some time to give my two weeks' and to just take a break from working in general before I started. I put my first available day as June 19.
They called me yesterday. >.>; Um, hey. I'm still at Sanrio.
I don't know if I should take it or not. I didn't have my vacation, I didn't give my two weeks', obviously, and I feel kinda slighted that I hadn't heard from anyone in a month and that no one told me that I'd be getting a call back. I'm not sure I even wanna take the job anymore. Sure, I'd be a Supervisor and it's a little bit more money (per hour) -- I THINK -- but there are fewer hours (amounting to less money to take home) and I'd have to travel into Manhattan and I ABHOR Manhattan and if the company doesn't feel like telling me important things like "you're hired," I'm not sure I wanna work for them. I mean, Sanrio sucks and is terribly abusive, but at least they're OPEN about it.
Yes, I realize I filled out tax information, but nothing was official. Drew NEVER said "you've got the job," and neither did Shaina. It was only hinted at. In fact, Shaina called me the next day and said I had good news, but that I wasn't supposed to know anything. So I kept mum and waited for a phone call like I thought I was supposed to, a phone call that never came... until last night. Nice, isn't it? Like I was really going to quit my job without a definite answer!
