So in about thirteen hours, I'll be a quarter of a century old. Almost thirty. TWENTY-FIVE. I cry.

To keep in a happy state of mind, and not get depressed that I've come this far without making anything of my life, I'm going to pretend that I'm this many. :::holds up right hand::: 1987 all over again (oh my gosh, no Zelda). Hey, I'm kind of excited that I'm going to start school in the fall.... I guess.

To kick things off, I spent the first half-hour of my birthday at the movies, with a lot of other (actual) five-year-old kids. Yay, Shrek the Third! It wasn't as great as I thought it would be, but I still enjoyed it muchly. Before that -- yesterday -- Phill took me out to dinner, and I enjoyed that, too, as I watched the Mets beat the Yankees, 3-2. Please win again today, guys! (OMG twenty years ago, the Mets were world champs. *_*)

I've gotten a couple of birthday wishes already, and I thank you guys for remembering! -^_^- (My only real birthday wish is that the weather would be nice. It hasn't been OMGGORGEOUS on my birthday since I turned sixteen. ._. No such luck this year; it's set to rain later tonight.) It'll be a mellow sort of day, and I'll be sure to have a lot of chocolate of the hot, drinkable variety. ^_^!

For now, I'm going to make sweet love to my bed for many hours. Z_Z

Birthday!

So now that I'm officially twenty-five (as of four hours and forty-four minutes ago, post-time (eep! 4:44!)), I can say how my birthday went. It went well enough.

I did spend the first half of today sleeping, which was quite enjoyable. I loved my bed and my bed loved me. Awww. I was treated to quite a few messages on my phone, from friends and family, and I really enjoyed that. I got a pseudogift from my dad; it ties for least-expensive birthday present ever, but that's okay, because it's meaningful: the Washington state quarter. Now, if I would have could have gotten a John Adams dollar, then we'd be talking! XD But yes, my dad and I collect state quarters, so I loved it, even if it only cost my dad a whopping twenty-five cents. XD (The other twenty-five-cent gift I received was a small ring from a quarter machine from Alex three years ago. I still have it; it hangs off the bat on one of my softball trophies.) But am I wrong to have gotten upset about the card my dad got me? I mean, it mentions God and how I'm blessed and worship Him when... I don't. >.>; That brought me down slightly.

I tried starting Yuki's shirt, but something's telling me I've already screwed up. The pieces don't quite match, but we'll see how it goes, I guess. I got a bit discouraged, and I'm calling it quits for today. Besides, it's much easier to sew when in transport, than doing it because I'm bored at home for lack of anything else to do. Tomorrow, I suppose. (I've GOT to stop putting it off!)

Then the Mets game. They won today! Metsrabble. )

And then I had cake and ice cream... and here I am. :D
