Disappointment. D:
Oct. 18th, 2008 01:21 amSeriously, there's been nothing to say. I don't even remember Wednesday, and all I did was sleep Thursday before I worked *exactly* four hours. Kathleen made damn sure that we were out of the store at nine-thirty, and I got home at just before ten-thirty, instead of leaving at a quarter to eleven! :O Today was mind-numbing planogram nonsense.
Anyway, the disappointment. Michele tipped me off to a Haruhi event at Kinokuniya that's going on tomorrow afternoon, and I haven't been to one of the Kinokuniya cosplay events in a while. I was so psyched, because I thought I could pop in before work at five. Sure, I'd only be there an hour, but I'd run into work in costume and maybe start to get everyone used to the idea of *how* strange I am. I was crushed when I heard Amanda and Erica were going, because it turns out that my shift doesn't start at five, it ends at five. Thirty. And there's no way I'd make it to Kinokuniya for the short half-hour that'd be left, not that there'd be anything to do, anyway.
My short and pointless shift tomorrow is doubly stupid because Theresa informed me that there's a sort of "Making Of" of The Legend of the Seeker tomorrow at noon (the series starts in two weeks!). Figures the one time I want to watch TV and it's not baseball, I can't. I have to leave home at noon to get to work on time. Heavy sigh.
On the bright side, tomorrow ends my streak of working days at five, because I've got Sunday off! I've decided I'm gonna go visit the Pratt kiddies and say hi to everyone, not just hole myself up with Erichele (although I'd be kidding myself if I said there wouldn't be any dansu). I haven't really hung out with anyone else since Mayish, and that makes me a sad panda. Sunday shall remedy that!
As for my schedule next week, I've got TWO days off! :O Sunday's one, and Friday's the other. In the meantime, Monday and Thursday are closes, Wednesday and Saturday are opens, and Tuesday is a weird midshift-thing. That's cool. I might disappear....
Still don't know what I'm gonna do for Halloween. Leaning towards Dominic, since the weather's turned so suddenly, and I can't leave the house without a sweater anymore. Sorry to everyone who voted for Toph (but he did tie for second with Sokka). D:
Baseball: the Phillies have won the pennant and Boston is down 3-2; they play tomorrow night. I'd like to see them win because then I could actually GIVE A CRAP about the World Series. I hate how indifferent I've been the past couple of years. :/
JONAS! Coat detail! So smug! I want! *_* And then he can live among my slowly-growing collection of figures. ^_^;
Finally, I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving or Columbus Day (or just plain Monday), and birthday wishes are extended to the bajillion people born this week. :D
