I hate not having happy things to say.
May. 22nd, 2009 10:08 amThis shit is really starting to get old. I miss when I was only mildly depressed and slightly crazy. I never thought I'd say that, but then I never thought it'd get worse. I hate seesawing: one minute I'm fine, the next I want to kill myself, the next I'm just blubbering for Goddesses know what reason. Augh. By the way, Evie, I don't know if you've noticed, but it's the 22nd. You've got ten days. You're gonna lose. Yay?
No upsetting dreams to haunt me the past ten days; I've slowly gotten over it. Work has been delightful, although I discovered yesterday that I'm somehow missing paperwork, which has resulted in my not getting paid. ... The next pay date is 4 June, and if everything is okay by then, I'm looking forward to cashing in on over a hundred hours' worth of work. That pleases me. (Also, Seto's just texted me that Jimmy wants me to start working four days a week. Yeah, as soon as that first check comes in, I'm probably gonna quit Michaels. Should I give my two weeks' now, then?)
Birthday was all right (I had munchkins and a party hat and sushi for lunch), if a little strange at times, but at the end of the day, I was the proud owner of a sewing machine, so yay! (It's sitting in my closet ATM because I have nowhere to put it but whatever.) Lou wants to take me to a Mets game. For the first time in my LIFE, I'm not looking forward to watching the Mets play. Never thought I'd ever say that, either.
Wednesday, I meant to go into the city after work to Dave & Buster's for my birthday-slash-NYCC stuff that was going on. I couldn't print my thousand coupons for free shit, though, so I decided against it. Perhaps next Wednesday. ^_^ But I was supposed to go with Michele, and I wound up heading to her place -- she's living off-campus over the summer -- instead. Abi and Mike called, saying they were heading to D&B, but then it turned out to suck, so they came and chilled with us instead, and Erica came over, too. Abi is allergic to cats, though -- more so than I am -- so we spent the day outside. 'Twas fun (especially when Erica and I started dreaming up doujin ideas).
I've determined that Mike and Warky are long-lost twins. They look a little bit alike, and their voices are pretty similar. So what if Warky's about seven or eight years older? XD
Yesterday, I meant to go to the bank after work to deposit my tax check. For some reason, the branch in question is not open late on Thursdays, so it was closed when I got there. I continued on to the train station. To do this, I walked down 3rd to 23rd, and headed for 6th. Walking along 23rd, about Madison or so, I spotted Ian in the street. RPG World Ian. o_o; I didn't say hi (as he was walking with (someone who I'll assume to be) his girlfriend, and because I wouldn't have been able to casually say "Oh, we met at CTCon a bunch of years ago. Nice running into you; later."), but I giggled to myself. It was kinda weird. My usual route takes me across 25th and through Madison Square Park to 23rd and 5th; had I not decided to go to the bank -- and had it not been closed -- I'd've missed him completely.
There were other things I've wanted to mention, but since I can't remember them anymore, they probably weren't all that important. Although
used_potoin is great.
ahvia made it. :D Also, I can type the alphabet in 4.171 seconds. Olua, I fully expect you to be able to halve that.
Erica's coming over for dansu today; I should probably start cleaning the house. Tomorrow is mp3 Experiment Six, and I'm looking forward to it. Next weekend: Japan Day. Three weeks: AnimeNEXT.
Edit: sometimes, I really fucking hate xkcd (especially because I never quite got the chance to try and pull this stunt). Sometimes, I really fucking LOVE xkcd.
