It's Nagase-sensei's fault for teaching us tsukau (to use) and tsukuru (to make) at the same time. They sound similar, their kanji are similar, and their te-form endings (-tte) are identical. It's been six years, but I keep switching them up. Does anyone have a simple way for me to remember which is which (be it in reading/writing or speaking, because I seriously need to break out the dictionary every time I come across one of them)?
More difficult, any tips for helping remember to speak in polite form in class are also appreciated. While we've got about fifteen minutes of "tomodachi time" each class, where we practice speaking with Akai-sensei in plain form, I find it incredibly hard to switch back to polite form, probably because I've gotten so used to it with Laura, that's just how I think. ._.;
P.S., the title of today's entry is relevant to what I learned in class last week. XD
