Title-n desu.
Nov. 6th, 2009 10:11 pmIt's a good thing Olua texted me this morning to tell me about the multitude of Yankee fans she saw, or I wouldn't have spitefully changed into all my Mets gear. :3 But seriously, guys, the 2009 season is over, stop dwelling in the past! It's time to move forward, and look forward, to 2010. Let's fucking go, Mets.
Anyway, work was over quickly. Jimmy and I finished what little website fuckery we had around eleven o'clock, and then we were at a loss for what to do, so we played on the internet. :3 After a while, Jimmy went to get something from the printer, and then borrowed my scissors. Not too long after that did I discover he was papercrafting, and I had to jump on that awesome bandwagon.
Problem is, our printer is only black-and-white. I know where color printers exist, but I'm not about to be all obvious.
Jimmy made an original Nintendo. Cute, but simple, since it was just a box. I made this. Hee hee, I colored in the base (I needed SOMETHING in color). I was going to make more, but then Jimmy and I realized we had actual work to do, so we put the papercrafting away. Probably a good idea, because it took me about an hour to do that (fifty-nine minutes of which was just cutting out his hair. Oh, Iggy. You and your mop. ♥).
I made up for it by staying an hour after time at work, though, working on what I should have been doing. It was fiveish when I left, but I had to run errands: I needed trading card sleeves, had to return a belt, then head up to Kino for manga, stop off at Starbucks for awesometea, then head over to class, now within one hour instead of two.
I made it to class on time. But I forgot to take into account that it's winter out there, thus any sort of physical activity makes it nearly impossible for me to breathe, and it's a negative feedback cycle. Newbies: I've got asthma, and cold air makes it worse. And when I desperately need air, but the only air I can get is cold.... You see how it works.
I was cheesed because Kino didn't have the books I wanted, and the Starbucks directly across the street didn't have awesometea. Fortunately, I stumbled across the other Starbucks not too far away -- where someone FINALLY got on my case for wearing Mets stuff today -- and got tea. Doubly cool, because if I would have had to walk up to 50th St., I'd've been late and missed the kanji quiz (kampekini shita~), or, y'know, died. God, that tea saved me, and was so tasty~
Today's lesson was ~ndesu. I'd learned it with Nagase-sensei, but I didn't quite understand it. I think I've finally got a better handle on it now, though. We were drilled on verb forms and given a million handouts -- g'bye, trees! -- and then class was over. Akai-sensei let us know that registration for the next class will start on December 1, and level 7 will be on the same day and time as level 6. That's easy to remember, at least.
And now I'm here.
