AnimeNEXT, Day Three.
Jun. 21st, 2010 02:13 amWe woke up at eight. WHOOPS. Cue frantic running around for the next two hours to get to the panel on time. I went in the early car with Josephine and Deanna, but we had to stop for gas and coffee. Not only that, but we missed the turn into the Doubletree, so I had to go through the con and -- surprise -- Laura and Nicole were sitting there while I ran in all a mess.
Perceptions and Misconceptions went really well, and everyone's asking that we do two hours next year. :V Most of it was catching up and talking about murderers. ... What? The NHK people were in that panel, too, which I didn't expect or realize was going to happen.
ichiP! was pretty cool, too, even if we only got around to teaching Night of Fire. I completely floundered and messed up while I was teaching the dance, leaving Erica and Laura to teach it. That went okay, too. :/ I feel kinda bad that I floundered, because I usually teach them, but I can't always. I know that I'm gonna have off days, but I still feel like an idiot... anyway.
There was a part in the dancing when someone said, "Like you're erasing a blackboard," and, in reference to Friday, I couldn't help but spit out, "Why's it gotta be a blackboard?" I apologized for the few people who might have felt awkward or not gotten it. ^_^;
Oh, and we made the official announcement about Michele leaving the group. ;A; Graduation at NYAF! (I just watched the videos of Maiha's graduation from Berryz Koubou and it was REALLY SAD. Let's not do that. Be sad, I mean.)
We scrambled for the ending of the dance, because we were out of time, but they got it, and pretty well. Yay! After the panel, NHK interviewed quite a few people (mostly people I knew, because -- let's face it -- they were half the group!), and it all sounded pretty weird and embarrassing. PFFFF. "I LOVE ICHIP!." They took a while to getting around to interviewing us, and I'd put off changing (from Sokka) because I thought we were going to be on camera. WE WEREN'T (I was kinda cheesed because I could have changed. Sokka holds onto heat and sweat like crazy).
After I finally did change, I went to the Paradise*Peach panel. Ivonne changed her hair and it was SO CUUUUUTE (I'm fangirling). The last dance they did was definitely the best of the set; they looked really fluid and appropriately attitude-y. *thumbs up*
After P*P, I got my reimbursement, and headed to the Dealer's Room. I spent exactly ONE. DOLLAR. ... It was on a triceratops button. :D (Hint: Triceratops? My favorite dinosaur. I had to sing a song about them in kindergarten, and I still remember it. ... OMG I JUST FOUND THE SONGS ON THE INTERNET YEEEEEEEEEEEES.)
But yeah, from there, Jessi went home on her own, and Esmeralda, Emily, Kendra, Eileen, and I went back to Emily's house. We played on the swing set until we could rendezvous with Jessi and head out to sushi for dinner. It was all horribly entertaining. After dinner, Emily went back with Jessi and Esmeralda drove me to Laura's.
I sort of freaked out when no one answered their phones, but they were all asleep. They woke up around nine and we've been hanging out since but we're about to head to sleep now. Overall? AN was okay. But I want to make next year better. I might be at CTCon in three weeks -- I really want to! -- but I'm definitely going to Otakon in six, and I will have England done by then (whether or not I bring him along).
Hope everyone else had an awesome time, and remember: STAY BLACK. *fist*
