Making a new post.
Jul. 26th, 2010 01:12 amI'm sick of getting responses about the dog post. I mean, I thank you all for your suggestions (and if I could find my dad to tell him what you all said, that'd be awesome), but it depresses me to think about it. I just... no.
I had a really gross dream last night. I was in my bedroom and I saw an ant and killed it. And then I saw two ants. Then lots of them. And I looked down on the floor, and my bed was surrounded by lots of little anthills, with ants everywhere. I immediately ran for the bug spray (and poured a bottle of Lysol down all the antholes) but it was so creepy. Brought about by the bus stop I was waiting at yesterday. The thing was a sandpit and I was grossed out.
So new subject of conversation. Esmeralda woke up halfway through the afternoon, and we eventually went for cheap sushi somewhere in Brooklyn with Bethany and Alicia. Cheap sushi, not inexpensive. I was very less than happy, but happy enough that I didn't pay much for my meal. Anywhere else, it would have been $35, but only cost me $20 this time around, tax and tip included. It was awesome to see Esmeralda after her trip, and she brought me a lot of shit:
•a (blue!) clog-shaped magnet from the Netherlands (also €1.05)
•₴5.66 (about $0.72; the rate is ~₴7.9 : $1)
•a postcard of St. Andrew's Church
•this random blue glass charm that looks like an eye (an inside joke we have).
Seriously, I just wanted the pocket change because I like foreign money. And why do people keep giving me fives? I have a five-hryvnia note, a five- (Indian) rupee* note, and a five- (Canadian) dollar note. They're all blue, too. OH WAIT, that's why: they're blue! XD
*Five Hyrulian rupees are also blue. What an interesting coincidence. Our fives are lame because they're not blue (the new ones are purple: Blue's bastard child by Red).
Otakon is this weekend, and per my own rules, I have to start packing today because it's Monday. ichiP! is having a practice later today in Bryant Park. I hope everything goes well, and I hope people start getting back to us soon.... I need to choreograph.
