Pre-pre-pregame.
Dec. 29th, 2010 03:30 amSince I probably won't have a chance to post at all later today, I might as well do it now.
They're still. Here. Were they not, I'd be warm in bed and fast asleep, well, probably not because I'm super-excited about the game, but yeah. I'd've done my chores in the middle of the day and not having to wait until everyone was asleep (I think, I kept hearing noise constantly past two in the morning). The streets have finally been plowed; the first trucks came by about two-thirty, maybe three, this afternoon, and several more have passed since then. Even if the plows aren't down, the tires are still packing the snow and providing traction. Whenever I get home tomorrow night, there should be absolutely no reason for their continued presence. I'm already angry enough. They should have been gone today, those freeloaders, those intruders.
Onto happier things, like tonight's game. So excited! I've never been to the Prudential Center, but it's right near Newark Penn Station, so I should be okay following the sea of cool blue awesomeness and lame red bullshit (ILU Megan). Theresa doesn't think her Devils will win, and I'd be inclined to agree with her, but the Rangers scored seven on Monday, and everyone knows high-scoring games are always followed by low-scoring ones. I was actually screaming at the game for the Rangers to cut it out after the fifth goal. So there's that. But no matter which one of us goes home happy, it'll be fun, because we'll be heckling each other, screaming, fighting, but then sharing crackerjack during intermission(but the Rangers had better win). Friendship. ♥
And if everything goes according to plan, this will all be an awful memory by the time this weekend rolls around. I plan on watching movies, playing time-consuming board games, and possibly making gingerbread cookies for the new year. Extra happy that it still looks like rain for Sunday (and next Wednesday and Thursday!) so this horrid s*** will be washed away.
My laundry should be done by now.
