OMFG YES YES YES YES YES (Christmas haul)

I hung out with Guillermo after work today -- I don't know what inspired me to contact him, but I'm glad I did because I didn't wanna go home and he would have been bored otherwise -- because I haven't in a while. We got Japanese pasta, pastries, and toys: he got a DVD, I got a blind box. He also lent me a book with a bunch of English language atrocities in it, and I'm going to enjoy reading that.
I had fun hanging out with Guillermo, but I was so sleepy, man. I think being out in the cold as long as I was yesterday got to me; when I woke up I was sniffly, and I've been sneezing like mad all day, so I was really out of it and unfocused. The beer and sake with dinner probably didn't help much, but I got a coffee with my dessert, which was enough to keep me on my feet until the train. *nod*
I had a very nice nap on the train. ^_^ I almost punched a woman in the face at the bus stop because she was in my personal space and then she tapped me on the shoulder to ask a stupid question that she already asked me. I wasn't going to punch her because she was dumb, but because she was too close and with the scarf over her face, I kinda didn't know who she was (not wearing my glasses from sneezing so much), so I was scared and wanted her gone. I'm not that much of an asshole.
CHRISTMAS MIRACLE when I got home: the house was empty and quiet! THEY ARE GOOOOOOOOOONE and so I finally got to open my presents. :D Jazmin was awesome and got me a pajama set in blue with a matching blanket that I'm totally wearing tonight because it's adorable and I love it so much (because it's blue, let's not kid ourselves. Look how easy it is to make me happy. "Here, Venus, I got you these post-its. They're bluuuuue!"). Dad got me cash, Mom also got me cash and a big box of TEA (which I will also enjoy tonight). I'm so happy with the tea, oh my gosh. You hit a nail on the head, Mom. I'm proud of you. ♥ Christmas haul has never been very much (some of you were posting long lists and I'm amazingly jealous every year), but at least the cash has got a purpose now (after some of it goes in the bank, of course): galoshes, that pair of thongs I keep meaning to get, and a Rangers jersey. :D
And I got paid today, too? What is this awesomeness?! And Esmeralda's coming for the weekend tomorrowmy turn to be loud and obnoxious, suck it, family?! I think this'll turn out oooooooootay!

I'm sorry if there was a typo when I sent it to you, but I'm glad that didn't prevent the card from getting here). Thanks a lot, guys! ♥ Hope you all had a great December, and let's do well in 2011! While 2010 didn't bring about the progress I'd hoped for, it brought about some, and you know what? That's a start. More sappy hopefulness tomorrow!
