Productive!
Jan. 16th, 2011 01:32 amIt's slow going, but at least something is going. I finally started assembling the jacket; I cut out most of the pieces last week. I didn't get around to doing some of the interfacing and lining today; that was for the jacket pockets, which I know come first.
So, so far, I've got half of a jacket: just a front and back, no sides and no sleeves. I've got patch pockets pinned on and am working on the pocket flaps. I'm happy, and proud of myself, even though I've done all this before. If I can get it done and sewn before two, great. If not, it hangs out in my room until I get a chance to work on it next weekend.
The collar, as always, will be an interesting challenge, especially since I'm just winging it (oh yeah, and detail work). Pictures Monday (though it'll probably look a bit like this only red, and with fewer chalk lines)?
I have no idea who I'm cosplaying the other day at Katsu. If anyone wants to hit me up with a suggestion, yes please. Just no more Hetalia (as half of you go "awwww," and take your mice away from the "Post Comment" button). XD;;
