Oh hey, I went to Philadelphia.

Today wasn't much, but the Rangers won a very important game against the Devils, 4-2 (Dubinsky, Girardi, Zuccarello, and Stepan with goals; Elias and Sykora for NJ). They *ticks on fingers* tied the season series against New Jersey, went up to three points over Pittsburgh (who hadn't lost in a MONTH and got 23 of their last 24 points?!), and claimed a playoff spot. I'm glad I can relax and not be glued to a radio at CPAC wondering if we're going to make it in (just that they beat the Bruins, and are in fourth place at worst).

Tomorrow, since I'll get up early for a change -- and since it'll be GORGEOUS. I hear it's going up to 74 (22)! -- I'm gonna get my butt down to Jamaica and go fabric shopping. Then if I'm done fast enough, I'll head out to Daytona for some patterns. Then I'll come home and find the saw in the garage so I can work on the moulding for Es' clock prop. LIKE A COSPLAY BOSS.

Got my fabric! :D Mom just went to bed so I'mma throw this stuff in the wash (very very gently) and start working on shit tonight. If I'm up until four in the morning, I might as well be productive, right? I'm using the same pattern as Esmeralda's Switzerland dress so I'm familiar with it and (I'd better find my interfacing and a hook and eye, I just remembered I need that) it won't take terribly long to get the dress part of the dress done. I'll worry about sleeves and the diamond accents another time.

And the trim was such a lucky find! I thought I was done shopping for the day and was heading home when I saw one last store and decided on a look-see and I'm so glad I did because this color is very difficult to match exactly! Why does no one like peach? :(

That today was such a beautiful day (it was at least 75 degrees out, omg) helped to put me in a good mood for walking around the city for five hours ducking into trim stores for patterns, a zipper, and thread.
