Jan. 29th, 2005 11:44 pmWoke up and enjoyed an hour of TV. Yay! Washed my hair and ran out, wondering if it would freeze on the way to the bus. I don't think it did. Took the bus to the mall.
On the bus, there was this one man sitting almost directly across from me. I felt bad for the poor guy. On both his hands, his middle and ring fingers were fused together to make one finger (so that he only had three fingers and a thumb on each hand), and his arms were too short. He was sleeping, but drooling on himself... and his brow was pronounced with sunken eyes. He had three *accidents*. o_o Geez.
I got to the mall and waited twenty minutes for Olua. Cuz she sucks. XD We meandered and wound up at Build-A-Bear, which was one of the main reasons for meeting up. I picked up a Yellow Lab puppy and fell in love. I also grabbed a pair of jeans, a pair of sneakers, a Mets hat (of course) and eventually, because they were restocking when we got there, a plain white t-shirt. All in all, I spent too much time there and too much money. XD But I think it was worth it! And, I ran into Tyrone's cousin Matt, who I haven't seen in years. He works there, apparently. And we reminisced about the time a hornet stung me on my ankle and his Uncle Danny (who was hot and probably still is, lol) had to carry me home because I couldn't walk. I picked up a job application, too. I wouldn't mind working there. I learned how to deal with children this year. ^_^
I remember wasting Goddesses know how many hours I spent at Angie and Tyrone's playing Maniac Mansion... lol
To be honest, I can't remember how we spent seven hours in the mall. We walked around a bit. I got hit on by a high school kid, and I'm certain he was lying about his age. LOL. His friend was all, "Yo, m'man wanna holla a'chu." I was all "Fine. Where is he? I could use some entertainment." He looked like he was no more than sixteen, but when I asked he said seventeen. And then I was like "Yeah. That would be illegal." He looked confused. "I'm twenty-three, dude." (I rounded up. Sue me.) And he was all "...oh." It was pretty funny. But geez, a high school kid? -___- Sigh.
We went to Dylan's Candy Bar and watched a bit of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (cuz you know that movie's ALWAYS on). It was up to "Violet! You're turning violet, Violet!" and Olua and I did the Oompa Loompa dance while they rolled her out of the room. We found the Harry Potter candy section and couldn't remember some weird lollipops (Acid Pops, I think they were called) or "Ice Mice" or anything ever being in the stories. :::shrug::: I was tempted to buy a Chocolate Frog, and too scared to buy the Bertie Botts sampler (I was afraid of the Dirt and Vomit flavors because I've been told they're quite accurate. Although I wondered about Earthworm....) so I went for some of Drooble's Best Blowing Gum instead. I wanted to see just how Best this Blowing Gum was. Turns out, it SUCKS. Can't blow crap with that gum. I should have gotten the Frog. How stupid am I to have opted against chocolate?! :::smacks her forehead:::
Because the dryer had eaten a couple of my bras this week (snapped the wires in two), Vicki's ate ninety-six of my dollars. But now I've got pretty undies! ^_^ (And yes, it was necessary to share my unmentionables woes... even though you'll never see them, lol.)
We decided to get something to drink and sit for a bit. I wandered into a store where I saw something interesting and gawked at cool socks and shoelaces. One of the salespeople asked what my shirt said. I happened to be wearing my RPGW Menu Screen shirt. "Attack, Magic, Item, Run," I said. "Heh, awesome," he replied. ^_^!! Next to that store happened to be Tootsies, having a MAJOR liquidation sale. I darted right in when I saw red-and-white-striped stockings. PERFECT for my costume, and it only set me back four bucks, so yay! I've got to get to the store this week....
On for the last stretch, we meandered some MORE (because we had nothing better to do, really. We didn't want to go home) and walked past a hair-item-thing store. I heard someone call my name from inside so I turned to look and ohmigosh, it was Lysandra. I haven't seen the girl in literally years, and I didn't even know if I still had her proper cell phone number (turns out that I did). Phill and I were just talking about her the other day. So we caught up a bit, told her that I wasn't in school, that I was just looking for work, and she told me of a couple of places that were hiring. Yay. And now that I've got her number, hopefully the three of us can go out and play pool. Cuz that's what we do. It's fun. ^_^
Took the bus home and started to fill out my BABW application. I'm hugging the stuffing out of my Build-A-Pup; I'm so in love with it! And now to bed, I guess. I'm pretty tired. ^_^;;
