Catching up....
Dec. 14th, 2005 10:17 pmTatiana and Stephanie have both gotten back to me. I'm absolutely excited. The worst part, though, is that no one understands just how excited I am except for my mother, as she's the only other person who remembers my old classmates. Haha. I've already talked to Mom about this and showed her Facebook and she had fun trying to guess who everyone was in the old class photos. Awww.
So, catching up. George is bartending tomorrow night in College Point, and since I have work early and a day off on Friday -- perfect -- I'm going to (try to) go and see who else I can find. Cheap drinks = yay, and cheap drinks + old friends = double yay. Don't know how late I'll be getting home, or how for that matter, but that's a bit beside the point....
Man, I need a car. :::tries to rip up an old MetroCard:::
Today, I kept my promise to myself and went out for sushi with Phill. I ate more than he did, but Phill, poor thing, was all sick and miserable, so it wasn't all that surprising. We went to the movies after that to see Narnia. It was cute (the opening sequence wins!), but I liked the version I saw in third grade a bit better. I think I've seen it only once since then. I dunno; it was a bit more believable when the Pevensies were older. I can't fathom seven-year-old Lucy using a dagger properly, nor eleven-year-old Edmund with a sword (or, at least, that's how old they looked this time around).
Further inspection on IMDb shows that I was off by three years on both accounts. The actors that played Lucy and Edmund are now ten and fourteen, respectively. Still.... And WHAT was up with the White Witch's dreadlocks?! Dreadlocks.
After the movie, it was very cold outside. I pulled my scarf up to my eyes and that still wasn't keeping me warm enough. We ducked into a dinette and got some more food; omlettes, and I got some hot chocolate. Hot is good this time of year.
We went home when we were done; Phill took the train with me to Roosevelt, and I hopped on the train back home. It's so cold because the night is so clear -- and it's December. That helps a bit -- and the moon is all "I SHINE!" in its fullness. I love the full moon's light through my window while I get ready for bed, but....
Speaking of sleep, it's very early, but I should probably go now. I have work at eight, ew, which means I should be awake no later than six, if I want to fight people for the bathroom to get to work on time.
Ciao.
Edit: Squeal! I keep finding more people! Jane and Daniel and Kimberly....
Editedit: Oh yeah. Happy birthday, Olua. XD!!! ::punches::
