Home stretch!
Jul. 29th, 2008 01:42 amI finally made it to the final book of the Sword of Truth series, and the final disc of FF8.
With FF8, as is usual for me, I'm severely underleveled and trying to fight the hours-long string of final bosses. Only luck and good timing (and saving any chance I get) will get me through. I have a feeling this game is going to be especially hard to finish; Adel handed me my ass quite quickly, since I can't really use GFs to fight her (Curaga! Regen! Curaga again! Rinoa... still dies). XD OH WELL.
It's not like I'm enjoying the game, anyway. I'm just playing it to have played it, and once I'm done with it, I'll never have to do it again. Kinda like Zelda II. Y'know. If I ever get around to that (or find the second palace. ♪whistle♪). I'm almost sad that I wasted so much time working on my Rinoa cosplay -- because she's REALLY ANNOYING -- but it was so many years ago that I don't care anymore.
And Sword of Truth? Only six hundred pages stand between me and the end, now. My withdrawal earlier this month was pretty bad, but now I really don't know what I'm going to do before bed every night. I got so used to reading over the past five months. D: I'm sure I'll find something, or fall out of habit, or something.
ConnectiCon is this week; I'm leaving for Dustin's on Thursday. When I get back, I have jsut a handful of days to do laundry and pack for Otakon. XD And then I don't have to worry about new cosplays until the spring. Yay! Man, everything's ending all at once. :/ I suppose my freedom will shortly be at an end, too; I promised myself that it was time to start searching after Otakon. ;-;
Depression and antisocial behavior have left me physically sick; I haven't eaten properly in two days. I downed some pulpy orange juice (blecch!) just now and my stomach is not liking me for it. It sucks. Stupid family.
Anyway. Chillin' with Olua tomorrow. Gonna see a movie and hang out at the mall like old times. XD
